Francis + Benedict Fall Launch

Francis + Benedict is a non-profit fashion line that takes the beautiful wax fabrics found in Togo and partners with seemstresses in country in order to make stunning skirts. The platform goes well beyond just making skirts, though. Francis + Benedict exists to empower and equip these seemstresses to better their own lives. Furthermore, funding is used to help widows and orphans located within the community.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with this amazing organization since day one, and it is one that is very near and dear to my heart. This project was unique because I was able to travel to Togo with a group of high school students as they picked the fabrics used in this fall line. While there, these same students were able to help in the community by teaching computer skills as well as English. Once the line was finished, those same students had the opportunity to model the skirts for this video.
