A man with glasses and a black t-shirt with the word 'storyteller' printed on it is speaking into a microphone while a young man in a white t-shirt and ripped jeans stands nearby listening. They are on a small stage with a red curtain backdrop, and a presentation screen is partially visible on the right.

Speaking & Teaching

Helping people tell better stories - and trust themselves enough to start.

I speak about storytelling, video, and trust - shaped by over 20 years of filmmaking, teaching, and working alongside organizations around the world. My talks are rooted in real experience, not theory, and focus on helping people communicate clearly using the tools they already have.

I don’t see the stage as something I’ve earned. I see it as an opportunity to serve those in the room.

I speak the same way I work:

honestly, practically, and

without pretending to have it all figured out.

I share failures as openly as successes, because mistakes are where real learning happens.

I teach, share, and invite people into the process. What people see on stage is what they get afterward.

Again and again, attendees tell me the same thing:
The value isn’t inspiration - it’s permission.

Permission to try, to experiment, to make mistakes, and to trust that growth comes from doing.

A man in black T-shirt and cap is giving a presentation to an audience in a classroom or conference room. The presenter is pointing at a large screen displaying a slide about gear storage with an image of a device or equipment. The audience, consisting of men and women, sit on chairs facing the screen, attentively watching the presentation. The room has beige walls, a ceiling fan, and an air conditioning unit.

What I Speak About

Rather than chasing trends or tactics, my talks focus on the core challenges people face when trying to communicate well:

Story Over Gear

Why tools don’t matter until the story does - and how gear obsession keeps people stuck.

Trust and Authenticity in Storytelling

Why honesty matters more than polish, especially in a skeptical, AI-heavy world.

Permission to Start

Helping people stop waiting for perfect conditions and begin where they are.

Smartphone Storytelling

Using the camera you already carry to tell meaningful stories of real impact.
